3 Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures to Improve your Smile

Posted on December 9, 2015 by admin in cosmetic dentistry

cosmetic dentistry DentonWhile the underlying health of your mouth, teeth, and gums is important, improving your smile’s overall look with cosmetic dentistry is also beneficial. Not only will these treatments and procedures improve the color and alignment of your teeth, but the improvement in your self-esteem will give you a reason to smile.

Whitening Treatments

Smoking or using tobacco, drinking wine, coffee, and tea, and even eating dark fruits can stain the surface enamel of your teeth. Although common, this discoloration can reduce your appearance and lessen the number of times you smile each day.

If your teeth are yellowing or severely discolored, visit your dentist for a professional whitening treatment. With all the various whitening treatments available, you can easily find one suited to your specific needs.

Tooth Bonding

Millions of people suffer with a chipped or broken tooth. This damage may be due to an underlying dental issue such as tooth decay or an injury, but it is easy to repair with bonding.

This cosmetic dentistry procedure applies a layer of composite resin material, manufactured to match the look of your existing teeth, over chipped, broken teeth. After sculpting the resin material over the tooth’s natural shape, it is hardened with a specialized light. The end result is a natural, appealing smile that you will want to display.

Porcelain Veneers

While they a larger investment compared to whitening and bonding treatments, porcelain veneers are becoming popular options due to their permanent nature and appealing look. The process of applying these covers begins by scaling down the surface enamel of your tooth to prep the tooth for fusing the porcelain material.

Veneers are excellent options if you have stained, misaligned, crooked, or chipped teeth.

Each person is different and may require different cosmetic dentistry procedures for their specific smiles. To learn how to improve your teeth’s appearance and give yourself another reason to smile, visit our team at Withers Dentistry. Call (940) 293-2635 today to schedule your visit.

Our Response To Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Although the Governor has rescinded the mask mandate, as a Dental Office we are subject to protocols of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). The TSBDE has not lifted its COVID 19 emergency protocols, so masks are still to be worn by patients and staff in the dental practice. We will be continuing all of our COVID safety protocols and respectfully request all patients, staff and vendors wear a mask in our office. Thank you for helping us keep the safest environment possible for our patients and staff.

Please contact our office if you have any concerns.
